Before transferring remains

Ask your funeral professional or crematory about assistance with transferring the cremated remains. Confirm the urn has enough usable capacity and that its opening accommodates the intended bag or inner container.

Check the opening and closure

Do not assume every urn has a removable lid or the same fastening method. Confirm where it opens, how it is secured, and whether any sealant is recommended by the manufacturer.

Follow the product instructions

Use a stable work surface and follow the manufacturer's handling and closure instructions. Do not force parts or add adhesive without product-specific guidance.
